  7. Thanks for sharing this useful infograph please do tell more about how to publish advertisements on blogs and about woocommerce too

    1. You can apply for adsense or media net incase you have good traffic on your blog, and start making money through ads. For woocommerce, you need to have products that you want to sell on your blog like Ebooks or Courses, so its like an online shop that you set up on your blog. They have a plugin that you simply install, and you add additional feature to your blog as an online shop. You can find more information on their website.

    1. Hi Peter, I totally agree with you. I think one of the best way to go about this, is through research i.e. finding out what works and what doesn’t.

  10. Nice tips..Although it seems like the freee version of wordpress doesnt allow for some of these benefits like ads. What do you think I can do to monetize my site in the interim. Thanks

    1. If you have good traffic you can apply for Wordads, I think they allow free users to make money on their blogs. But if you really want to monetize your blog with other ads networks then you will have to switch your site to self hosting i.e buy your own domain then host with companies like Ipage or Bluehost. You will still mantain your content but now you will switch from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

      1. Well…Thanks…Can I monetize by upgrading to the personal plan or it must be the business plan on wordpress?

        1. It depends, but I think the WordPress Plans are kind of more expensive. I prefer self hosting say with Ipage which starts at $1.99 per month and comes with wordpress as the blogging platform, so in essence you mantain your wordpress blog, but now you will be under wordpress.org. But if you choose to use Personal or Business plans with WordPress.com, then either the personal plan or business plan can work.
