    1. Hi, thanks for visiting.

  19. i use mail chimp for my business but not for my blog. i might just sign up!

    1. It depends on your needs. If you are just starting out, then Mailchimp is the best, but for serious professional and business work, Convertkit, GetResponse are some of the best.

  20. Do you know of any good free email marketing services 🙂

    1. The very best is Convertkit, but GetResponse is also a good option even if you are new to email marketing. They have a free trial that you can try out.

  21. I personally use (read: set up) MailChimp but i find it hard to build an email list. Any tips and pointers on how to grow your subscriber list?

    1. Have you implemented a call to action to enable you get more subscribers? That is what I use, and more than 80 % of my subscribers come through it. You can use a plugin called boxzilla to implement a call to action. This is a small box that slides in from the bottom right or left as someone scrolls down. It converts better than just putting in a subscriber form in your sidebar or below your blog contents. Try it. Another method is to put a link to your sign up form in your content. You can ask your readers to join your newsletter list directly. lastly you can use freebies, give something freely in exchange of an email. I hope this helps.

  22. Thank you for such a great round-up of tools for bloggers. I am jumping on the MailChimp bandwagon by saying I love their products, but their customer service (or lack of) makes it challenging. When you want to quickly send an email and it is incorrectly flagged and held for three days before customer service replies it isn’t really helpful anymore. I am hoping to increase my list and then switch to Convertkit or Constant Contact. Thanks for mentioning Get Response – I have never heard of that one and will look into it.

    1. Hi, thanks for those insightful comments. Constant Contact, Convertkit and GetResponse are some of the best in the market. So you will definitely narrow down to the price. In my opinion, GetResponse has affordable pricing. They also give a free trial that you can sign up without giving Credit card details. Mailchimp is good especially when you are starting, but if you want great sign forms, professional email templates that will enable you convert highly, then you go for the other 3.

  23. Great list of e-mail marketing services. I have recently signed up for MailChimp but still reading on how to use it.

    1. Hi Charleen, thanks for the comments.

  28. I’m currently in the market for a new email marketing program. My domain is set up through wix, but the plan that I have only allows for 3 emails a month. That makes it hard when I post often and are trying to build a relationship and keep communication open with my subscribers. I don’t want to upgrade my whole plan just for more emails but I also don’t want to break the bank using another platform. Thank you so much for these options – I’ll have to look into them!

    1. Hi Veronica, it is always good to compare different service providers, but from my experience GetResponse is one of the best. Maybe you can give them a try through their free offer and see how their services work.

  29. Great tips, never looked into email marketing x

    1. Email marketing offers a good way to get additional traffic, remember for you to get traffic say from social media, you must be active on daily basis, and also you might be restricted by some of these social media networks but with a list of subscribers you don’t need to worry, you just set it up, and every thing works well in the long run. Some like GetResponse give a free trial where you can test out their services.
