  • Subject: The very first thing the recipient will read in your letter is the subject. Keep it precise and clear.
  • Salutation: It is evident that each email is meant for a specific person. So add a salutation before beginning with the main content of your job application. A simple “Dear sir/ma’am” should work when you don’t know the name of the recipient. In cases where you are aware of it, address them with their last name, “Dear Mr. Kumar”.
  • Introductory Paragraph: The introductory paragraph of your job application letter for teaching should talk about the position you are interested in. The hiring administrator might be looking to hire people for multiple positions. So it is important to point out which one you are applying for. Also, mention in the following lines that you have submitted your resume for the same.
  • Middle Paragraph: This middle paragraph should include the following things:

    a) Experience: Your letter should also include your academic history, (bachelor’s/master’s/Ph.D., etc) along with any teaching certifications or licenses that you may possess. Apart from that, highlight the years of relevant work experience you possess.

    b) Accomplishments: Another important component is a collection of your biggest accomplishments. These should be unique as well as quantifiable. For instance, you can say something like “Students began the school year as a very unfocused group. I created a reward system for the students that encouraged their enthusiasm and motivation.
  • Concluding Paragraph: In the concluding paragraph, make sure to thank the recipient for their valuable time. Promise to work to your full potential and mention that you look forward to hearing from them.
