Sergey Tokarev, an investor of Ukrainian IT company Reface AI, expressed his views on the huge success of Reface (formerly named Doublicat). By the end of August, the app has been downloaded by more than 20 million users.

In June, the app topped the charts in Thailand. Later on, the app became highly popular in the Philippines. In July, the RefaceAI officials said that the app grabbed huge attention in Ukraine, the home country of the app developers. By the end of August, the app conquered the US app market. It reached the number 1 position on the US AppStore by beating popular apps including YouTube, Zoom, Instagram, and Facebook. Before that, the app gained huge popularity in the European market.
